PURPOSE:To conduct clear embossing simultaneously with extrusion and enable to emboss a recessed inside surface of an extruded article by a method wherein recesses for containing rolls are provided at the discharge end part of an extrusion passage and emboss rolls are fitted in the recesses. CONSTITUTION:The recesses 3, 4 for containing rolls are provided at the discharge end part of the extrusion passage 2 which conforms to the cross-sectional shape of a product to be extruded, for example, a glass run channel 1 for guiding the door glass of an automobile. The emboss rolls 5, 6 are fitted in the recesses 3, 4 in such a manner that a part of the peripheral surface of each of the rolls 5, 6 slightly projects beyond the passage 2. Accordingly, it is possible to conduct embossing simultaneously with the extrusion and it is also possible to emboss the recessed inside surface of the extruded article, for instance a surface 1a, which has been very difficult in the prior art. In addition, it is possible to emboss the inside surface of a tube. |
