PURPOSE:To automatically and uniformly perform grinding work for the negative land of a throwaway cutting tool, by grinding linear and angular parts of a tip edge side with a rotary grindstone. CONSTITUTION:A tip W of the lowermost layer piled in the tube of a magazine 10 is fed to a work feeder 8, held by holding pawls at the lower end of a holder shaft 34 given a reciprocating motion by a repeating conveyer 20 and allowed to make a sliding motion angle a stylus 5 on a surface plate 4. The tip W, when passing through a grindstone opening part 7 provided on the surface plate 4, is ground by a rotary grindstone 78 to form a negative land in the peripheral edge of its lower face. The holder shaft 34 is rotated by a pulse motor 52 at every reciprocating motion to perform grinding work for the next side. The tip W after a completion of grinding work is pushed out by a carry-out device 79 and accumulated on a receiving board 84. |
