A cassette storage racking system comprising an extruded profile assembly, said profiles being adapted for snapping into each other thereby establishing suitable storage for specific types of cassettes. Substantially plane cross-section first type of profiles (1) are combined with substantially right-angled cross-section second type of profiles (3) by snap connections (2) which are locked by spring plugs (7) at both ends of the connection (2). The rack system is adjustable to different types of cassettes by assembling appropriate combinations of first type profiles (1) with a second type profile (3). Restraining strips (4) are inserted into slots (8) in the profiles (1, 3) and have protruding dividers (14) for cassettes. The profiles are preferably aluminum profiles and the strips (4) are preferably of vacuum-formed velourized polystyrene. The storage racking system especially is adapted for storage of cassettes containing video tapes, film rolls and computer discs, enabling appropriate adjustment to the different cassette dimensions. |
