PURPOSE:To abruptly vary the generated torque of a DC motor at a value higher than a predetermined speed by providing a limiter for controlling the upper limit of a current flow rate in response to the signal of a speed setting unit at the front stage of the current flow rate controlling circuit of an armature chopper. CONSTITUTION:The armature 1a of a DC motor 1 for an electric motor driven vehicle is controlled by a chopper 2, and a shunt field coil 1b is controlled by a chopper 6. A limiter 6 for varying the output of a current setting unit 13 is provided between a controlling amplifier 11 receiving signals from the unit 13 interlocked to an accelerator pedal A and an armature current detecting resistor 4 and a current flow rate regulator 12 to limit the maximum armature voltage of the armature 1a in accordance with the output limiting value. Accordingly, it can simulate the accelerating characteristic to that of an automotive engine by abruptly varying the generated torque at higher than a predetermined speed and can improve the controllability at low speed. |
