PURPOSE:To enable automatic paper feed using a cassette and manual paper feed, by supporting a manual insertion guide turnably on the side wall of the main body of a copying machine, and interlocking the manual insertion guide with the paper feed cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a paper feed cassette 2 is set in the main body 1, the protuberance 5b of the side plate 5 of a manual insertion guide is pushed with the protuberance 2a of the front part of a cassette side, this side 5 is turned clockwise, energized with a first spring 6, and moved to a position in parallel to a cover 4. A switch 12 for detecting a manual insertion mode is off at this state. In order to feed a paper manually in a state of the cassette set in the main body 1, the manual insertion guide 7 held with this side plate is slid so as to close an opening 4a for operating a paper feed roller 3, and a driven roller 8 is brought in contact with the lower part of the roller 3. The switch 12 is turned on at that time, and a circuit for automatic cassette paper feed is disconnected. |
