<p>The gas burner is used in a central heating unit and has the gas fed to the burner at mains pressure. Several sets of jets or calibrated orifices are provided, oriented in pairs. Each jet lintrains a flow of combustion air around it, this being supplied through a distributor having orifices on the same axes as the jets but a specified distance away. This causes the flames to burn and stabilise themselves a certain distance above the burner and to form rows. Thesel are distributed and spaced apart at variable distances which depend on the required burner characteristics.</p> |
