Plastics vine-protection cowl - has central growth opening joining onto guide and insertion portions

The pot-shaped plastics cowl protects vines from mechanical damage, and comprises a central portion (1) with a growth opening (4), a guide portion (2) joining onto the central one and whose wall (10) curves slightly towards the latter, and a portion (3) of truncated-cone section for insertion in the ground. The opening can be enclosed by a cylindrical collar or flange (5), radiused on the inside, also by expansion slots (7) extending into the guide portion and forming weakened breakage lines. There can be reinforcing ribs (8) extending for most of the height.
