PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of exactly protecting a front seat side occupant who takes seat on a driver seat or an assistant driver seat and is moved to the center side in the right and left direction of a vehicle by virtue of an air bag of which the expansion is completed.SOLUTION: An air bag device M1 includes an air bag 13 which is expanded between a driver seat DS and an assistant driver seat so as to catch a front seat side occupant D who takes seat on the driver seat DS upon collision of the vehicle V and is moved to the center side in the right and left direction of a vehicle. The air bag 13 is configured such that, upon the completion of the expansion, a portion 14a of the front edge side is brought into contact with a center cluster 2 as a member of a car body side and a portion 14b of the rear edge side is arranged by superposition on a lateral surface of a seat back DB of the driver seat DS or the assistant driver seat, as viewed from the lateral side. The air bag 13 includes a recessed part 15 for interference prevention which suppresses interference with a projection member 4 so as to stride over the projection member 4 projected from the car body side between the driver seat DS and assistant driver seat. |
