A dispersion control device for use in a toilet tank for dispensing a soluble solid, in solution, in a controlled manner into the tank, includes a cap (1) having a conical portion (3) which extends inwardly and downwardly into the interior of the cap. The cap is attached to a container (11) which contains the soluble solid, and the cap has a plurality of openings (5) in the walls of the conical portion and a hole (7) at the vertex (9) of the conical portion. In operation, the conical portion of the cap defines an intermediate holding chamber (B) which holds and allows dispersion of a specified concentration and predetermined amount of solution into the tank, as a result of the flows that occur during flushing. |
