PURPOSE:To enhance the manufacturing efficiency of a plate by making molten lead poured in between a steel belt and the ditches of a roll to be cooled and solidified in the ditches to obtain a casted long material, being followed by press roll process and expanding process. CONSTITUTION:In casting process A, lead or a lead alloy which is molten is injected from an injecting part 6 in between a steel belt 2 and the ditches of a roll 1, before the molten metal is cooled and solidified in the ditches of the roll 1 to obtain a long material. Thus obtained long material is pressed and rolled into a plate having a thickness of 2.0-0.5mm. in press roll process B. In expanding process C, the rolled plate is provided with sig-zaglike cuts, and is expanded into an assembled grid network. The assembled grid network is sent to packing process D in which a pasty active material is packed into the assembled grid network, cutting process E, drying process F, and arranging process G in which plates manufactured are arranged, in that order. By the means mentioned above, a long material with a relatively small thickness can be easily formed, and this process A can be smoothly connected to the following manufacturing processes. Consequently, the manufacturing efficiency of the plate can be enhanced, and the cost of the plate can be reduced. |
