PURPOSE:To cause no sag even in case each main roll is opened and made to pass through a raw fabric bas, by rotating both the cooling roll and touch roll with a little higher speed than a bottom roll by means of a stepless speed regulator, an electromagnetic clutch, etc. CONSTITUTION:Main rolls 1... are press-contacted with each other in the normal operation time, and electric conduction is given only to an electromagnetic clutch 22 to rotate a cooling roll 9. Thus a raw fabric base is taken up. In case a joint is caused in the raw fabric, the rolls 1... are separated from each other by a hydraulic cylinder. Then electric conduction is given to an electromagnetic clutch 34 to rotate a touch roll 15 via a Schmitt coupling 37. At the same time, the rolls 15 and 9 are press-contacted to each other via an air cylinder, and the raw fabric base is held between these rolles to feed the raw fabric base. The speed of rotation of both rolles 15 and 9 is set a little higher than that of a bottom roll 1. As a result, no sag is caused in the raw fabric base. |
