Extrudable, conductive mixt. contains thermoplastics, elastomers and/or thermoplastic elastomers and, as conductive component, a C black having specific surface 100-400 (150-350) sq. m./g, in combination with a further C black and/or other conductive particles having surface larger than 900 sq.m./g. The proportion of lower surface C black in the conductive particle combination is 5-30 times, w.r.t. wt.%, of the C black or other conductive component having the larger surface. The mixts. can be used as the internal and/or external conductive layer of an electrical medium or high voltage cable. The C black can be distributed homogeneously. The mixts. are free from specks leading to treeing when used as insulators.
