<p>In a procedure for the non-polluting disposal of solid waste or waste contained in aqueous mediums, whereby the waste is treated with alkaline-reacting substances and a solid product is obtained, the waste substances that are either solid or dissolved in an aqueous medium, or in suspension, are homogeneously mixed with lignite ash, where necessary with the addition of water, to obtain a consistency between that of pulp and fluid, and the quantity ratios adapted in such a way that the resultant mixture hardens to produce a mass that is practically impermeable to water. This mass serves both to bind waste, such as dilute acids, or also to seal off surface of underground dumps.</p> |
