A measurement method of carbon assimilation and respiration in plants by means of IR gas analyzer was described. Inactive gas was filled in the comparative cell of the analyzer CO2 av. concn. (A) of the standard gas induced to the sample cell of the analyzer was measured and then CO2 av. concn. (B) of the sample gas passed through assimilation chamber was measured. According to the change of CO2 concn. by the concn, difference between A and B, carbon assimilation and respiration in plants can be measured.
