In the device, a forward-run chamber (1) and a return-run chamber (2) arranged thereon form a unit. In this case, the outlets (3, 4) of the forward-run chamber (1) and also the inlets (5, 6) of the return-run chamber (2) are arranged on mutually opposite longitudinal sides of the unit. The device makes possible a cost-saving and space-saving distribution of the heat-transfer medium to the two storeys. <IMAGE>
