PURPOSE:To output a compound tone signal as an output signal also, by switching a pure tone signal generated from a pure tone signal generator and a compound tone signal generated from a compound tone signal generator at a signal control circuit and outputting the signals to a signal output circuit. CONSTITUTION:A signal detection circuit 2 has a terminal connected to a pure tone signal generator 5 to detect the types of waveforms of the pure tone signals generated by the device 5. A signal control circuit 3 switches a pure tone signal generated by the device 5 and an compound tone signal generated by a compound tone signal generator 6 suitably according to the pure tone signal waveform detected at the circuit 2 and introduces the signals to a signal output circuit 7 where the signal level is changed to an audible signal level. Thus, the information which can not be obtained with the pure tone signal can be obtained through the compound tone signal.
