PURPOSE:To produce an air electrode of great strength and high reliability by sticking a porous resin sheet made of a material different from a water-repelling resin layer to one side of a sheet material of the water-repelling resin layer and further sticking this composite layer to a catalyst layer. CONSTITUTION:Polytetrafluoroethylene layer 6-1 of 50mu thickness, having holes of the diameter less than 1mu with 60% porosity is stuck by heating to woven or monwoven cloth 6-2 of 150mu thickness made of polypropylene, polyethylene or ''Nylon '' etc. The composite layer is attached under pressure to one side of a 0.5mm. thickness catalyst layer 5 containing a metal core, and punched to the given size to form an air electrode. |
