PURPOSE:To prepare a living mold having high industrial value in use, by dispersing a living mold into a solution, e.g., a solution of a polymer capable of forming a semipermeable membrane in water in dimethylformamide, etc., adding the solution dropwise to water so that the living body is covered with the semipermeable membrane. CONSTITUTION:A polymer, e.g., cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl formal, polystyrene, etc., capable of forming a semipermeable membrane in water is dissolved in dimethylformamide or dimethyl sulfoxide. Into this solution a living mold is dispersed, the dispersed solution is added dropwise to water and cast into it so that the living mold is covered with the polymer in granular or linear state. Water is used as a coagulating bath, this water may be previously buffered, if necessary. The living is preferably dehydrated. |
