PURPOSE:To perform transfer by obtaining charging distribution of toner on a donor by bringing two kinds of toner, which have small coefficients of frictional charging with a multistylus electrode and differ in color, into contact with the multistylus electrode, and by applying one of two kinds of pattern signals to the multistylus electrode as a positive voltage signal and the other as a negative voltage signal. CONSTITUTION:Red toner TR which is easily charged positively and hardly charged negatively and black toner TB which is hardly charged positively and easily charged negatively are mixed to be used, and while a donor 1 is turned counterclockwise, two kinds of pattern signals are applied to a multistylus electrode 3 as a positive and a negative voltage signal to obtain positive and negative charging distribution by the positive red toner TR and negative black toner TB on the donor 1. Then, a conductive transfer part 4 is brought into contact with this toner layer to transfer both the toner TB and toner TR to the transfer member 4 selectively, and this dichromatic visible image is transferred to a recording sheet S and fixed. |
