PURPOSE:To improve the compressive strength of a fiber reinforced leaf spring for a car, by arranging much reinforced fiber convergently on a part which is put under comprssive stress. CONSTITUTION:More reinforced fiber 3 is arranged on the lower part 1a of a leaf spring, which is put under larger compressive stress tan the neutral axis 2 of bending, than its upper part 1b. When vertical load acts on the spring 1 made of resin reinforced with fibers, compressive stress occurrs on the part 1a lower from the neutral axis 2 of bending. However, as more fibers are arranged on the part than on the upper part 1b, the lower part 1a displays sufficient compressive strength, and compressive stress is absorbed. |
