PURPOSE:To facilitate complete sealing between a valve opening and a sealing valve by connecting such a mechanism only at the center of the sealing valve as the sealing valve starts moving toward the valve opening after it moves with movement of an operating stem in parallel with the opening up to a preset point. CONSTITUTION:A metal plate 3' which is connected to a guide plate 1 through a link 2 hits a stopper 7 when an operating stem 4 and the guide plate 1 are pushed up to the preset point. the metal plate 3' then starts moving at right angle with the operating stem toward the opening 6 by further movement of the operating stem. The sealing valve 3 is forced against the opening 6 via a steel ball 10 by motion of the metal plate 3' with force concentrated at a point of the approximate center of the sealing valve 3 as the steel ball 10 is located approximarely at the center of the sealing valve 3. Therefore, the sealing valve 3 is relatively free to swivel about the center of the steel ball 10. Even though distortion of reaction force from a valve disc 5 takes place, the sealing valve can equalize the pressure received throughout the surface by its free swivel action. |
