PURPOSE:To prevent the short circuiting at the end of machining in an electric discharge cutting by supporting a sheet shaped work in a leaned position so that the wire electrode would not be pinched between the work and the core sheet when the core sheet drops off at the end of the cutting. CONSTITUTION:A work 1 is attached to a machining bench in a leaned position. The cutting feed of a wire electrode starts at the point B at the top of the cutting pattern, reaches the point C after cutting the cutting line 3B, passes the point A and returns to the point B to complete the cutting. By performing the electric discharge cutting as foregoing manner a cut core sheet 2A is firmly held by the upper uncut upper part when cutting the lower and inclined part and drops off when the upper part is cut in the final process by its own weight to prevent the pinching of the wire electrode and the short circuiting. |
