PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of secondary underwater contamination, by a method wherein sludge is caused to enter a sludge collecting device situated on sludge, pressurized air is fed from a ground, and sludge is dehydrated for conveyance. CONSTITUTION:A sludge collecting device, hung by means of a rope, is placed on a sludge bed on the bottom of the sea. The sludge collecting device is provided with openings 18 for collecting sludge and water, sludge is caused to enter through the openings 18, and air is supplied from water surface into a centrifugal separaring cylinder 8 in a tank 19 through an air regulating valve 12. The centrifugal separating cylinder 8 is driven by a water-proofing motor 10 to peel sludge, accumulated to the inner surface of the centrifugal cylinder 8, by means of a scraper 7, and the dehydrated sludge is conveyed up to a water surface by a screw conveyor 13. |
