PURPOSE:To make a device used for image pickup small-size and light-weight to obtain a video signal recording and reproducing system with the mobility and the portability improved, by combining and using a VTR having the recording function essentially and a reproducing adapter. CONSTITUTION:At an image pickup time, a small-size and light-weight VTR5 having the recording function essentially and a TV camera 4 are combined and connected to pick up and record an image on a magnetic tape or the like of the VTR5. When this camera 4 is disconnected and the VTR5 and a reproducing adapter 6 having the reproducing function are connected, the recording due to the VTR5 is not operated, and recorded contents of the VTR5 are reproduced without hindrance in accordance with the operation of the adapter 6. Consequently, the image is picked up with a simple and small-size constitution, and a video signal recording and reproducing system with the mobility and the portability improved is obtained. |
