PURPOSE:To reduce the artificial intervention for the indication of transmission and receiving to and from each section, by switching and controlling plural remote terminals, which are provided with picture reading and recording devices, operation display devices, etc., with a facsimile main body device. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile main body 11 is connected to plural remote terminals RSWi (i=1-12) through a transmission multiplexer SCL, a receiving multiplexer RCM, and a scanning multiplexer SML. The terminal RSWi is provided with a video processor VPU, a picture reader such as an automatic original supplying device APF, a plotter driver WE, a recording device such as a plotter REC, an operation display part OPB, and a system control SCU2. The main body 11 is provided with a system control SCU1, a network control device NCU, high-speed and low-speed MODEMs LSM and HSM, etc., and controls the communication line transmission mode, the communication line receiving mode, the extension transmission/receiving mode, etc. to the terminal RSWi in accordance with a control program from the SCU1 to execute the communication of binary picture information through the SCM and the RCM. |
