<p>A rail glide member can be assembled to a beam or rail, such as a conventional I-beam curtain rod, at the ends thereof, or at any location between the ends, both before and after connection of the beam or rail to a base structure, such as a wall. The one-piece glide, formed from resilient material, is adaptable to low cost, mass production techniques, including extrusion forming. The configuration of the glide is such that it may be assembled onto the beam or rail from the side, at any location between the ends of the beam or rail, and once assembled onto the beam or rail, the glide is resistant to disassembly from the beam or rail throughout a wide arc of applied loosening forces.</p> |
