PURPOSE:To prevent cathodes from being damaged during an ageing process by a construction wherein feeders for supplying power to the cathodes are continuously arranged without dividing them according to ageing positions and the ends of them are made longer than a heater feeder. CONSTITUTION:Feeders 2a, 3a, 4a for supplying power to a heater earth and each of the blue, green and red cathodes of a color cathode-ray tube are continuously arranged without dividing them according to each of the positions A-E where an ageing process is carried out. Consequently, a brush connected to the cathode is allowed to contact the feeder always during the ageing process. In addition, at the entrance end of the knocking position A and the exit end of the ageing position E in the second stage, the feeders 2a-4a for the cathodes are extended and made longer than a feeder 6 for a heater. For this reason, a large current is allowed to flow into the first grid electrode and thus the cathode is prevented from being damaged. |
