Provided is a color gamut matching method. The method comprises: inputting a display image; converting the display image from a spatial domain to a frequency domain; determining first and second portions in the display image; separately converting the first portion and the second portion of the display image from the frequency domain to the spatial domain; performing, by employing different color gamut matching principles for the first portion and the second portion of the display image in the spatial domain, color gamut matching between the first portion of the display image and a target device and between the second portion of the display image and the target device; and synthesizing the matched first and second portions of the display image in the spatial domain as a matched display image in the spatial domain. By adopting the above color gamut matching method, independent color gamut matching is performed separately on portions of different frequencies in a display image, and then the color gamut matched results are synthesized as one image, thus achieving a better color gamut matching effect. |
