The present invention relates to a method for creating preforms, to a method for creating composite material parts from said preforms, and to a corresponding application machine. The method for creating preforms includes compactionless application of continuous fibers (9) in defined orientations on the application surface by means of an application head (1) and moreover includes compaction of the applied fibers so as to obtain a preform. Said application is carried out by relative movement of the head along different paths in relation to the draping surface without compacting the fibers. The fiber or fibers are positively driven into the head via a drive means. Operations for cutting the fibers are carried out at the end of and/or in the middle of a path via a cutting means. The cut fibers are driven via a complementary cutting means including, for each fiber, a channel having a gas flow flowing therein. |
