The invention relates to a manual instrument, in particular a resectoscope (10), with a shank (11) and a handpiece (12). At least one attachment cable (25) can be used to supply electrical energy and/or at least one attachment hose (34, 35) can be used to supply fluid media. A releasable connection is provided between handpiece and attachment cable (25) and/or attachment hose (34, 35), with a first connection piece (26) on the handpiece (12), and with a second connection piece (27) on the attachment cable (25) and/or attachment hose (34, 35), which second connection piece (27) corresponds with the first connection piece (26).
