PURPOSE:To provide a method of transporting coal-ash, wherein fly ash and clinker ash, which has been crushed and concentrated to have a particle diameter range up to a prescribed value, are mixed in a suitable proportion, and water in a prescribed amount is added to form a slurry thereby the slurry is transported via a transporting pipe with the resistance of the slurry and the abrasion of the pipe minimum. CONSTITUTION:The clinker ash 1 in a burner 3 is delivered by a belt conveyor 13 to a crusher 4 where it is crushed into a prescribed particle diameter. The crushed clinker ash 1 is concentrated by a concentrating machine 5 into two parts, and the part that has a particle diameter more than the prescribed particle diameter is sent back to the crusher where it is crushed again. The clinker ash having a particle diameter up to the prescribed value is delivered to a metering apparatus 8. On the other hand, the fly-ash 2 in a fly-ash bin 6 is delivered via a piping 7 to a metering apparatus 9 where it is metered so that the clinker ash 1 and the fly-ash 2 are in a prescribed proportion. Then the thus metered clinker ash 1 and fly-ash 2 are fed to a mixer 10, and water W1 in an amount of about 20-50wt% of the fly-ash is fed and mixed to obtain a slurry. |
