PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect one side contact or contacting surfaces simply, by employing a detecting device wherein a pressure sensitive plate whose conductance varies with pressue is held between two conducting plates. CONSTITUTION:The detecting device 1 is formed by holding the pressure sensitive plate 3 comprising pressure sensitive conducting rubber and the like, whose conductance varies with the external force, between the flexible conducting plate 2, wherein electrodes 5 and 6 are provided at opposing sides in the direction x, and the conducting plate 4, wherein electrodes 7 and 8 are provided on the opposing sides in the direction y. A voltage +a is applied to the electrodes 5 and 6 through resistors R, and a voltage -a is applied to the electrodes 7 and 8 through resistors R. Then, based on voltages VA-VD of the electrodes and a, the coordinates of the center of the contact pressure are obtained. Therefore when only one side of both contact surfaces is contacted, it is detected from the fact that the central position of said surface pressure is shifted from the zero point. |
