PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of securing a wide brightness adjustment range, and preventing deterioration of image quality of a bright subject.SOLUTION: An endoscope device 1 includes: an endoscope 2 for acquiring an analog image; an A/D conversion circuit 32 for converting the analog image to a digital image of a predetermined gradation number; an AGC processing circuit 34 for adjusting a gain of the digital image; a color matrix circuit 36 for generating an image for output from the image subjected to the digital gain adjustment; an FD amplifier of an image pick-up device 14 for changing the brightness of the image; and an AGC gain detection circuit 37 for determining whether the gain is a threshold value or more set based on the predetermined gradation number, and, when the gain is the threshold value or more, performing control to cause the AGC processing circuit 34 not to increase the gain over the threshold value, and cause the FD amplifier to increase the brightness of the image. |
