PURPOSE:To prevent useless work of repetition, in a sheet loading device for a copying machine and the like, by constituting the device in such a manner that a loading bed is moved to an unfeed position through a jam detection signal from a jam detecting means and held to the unfeed position till detection of the jam detecting means is released. CONSTITUTION:A jam is caused, if a detector sensor 14 detects this jam, a motor 4 is reversely rotated by a signal of the sensor to move lowering a loading bed 7. Then paper 8 is removed from the loading bed 7 to perform jam processing work. After completion of the jam processing work, if the paper 8 is pressed back into the loadinb bed 7, a paper detecting sensor, not shown in the drawing, detects the paper 8 to be pressed into the bed, then a release signal of device emergency stop is output. At this time, if the jam detector sensor 14 is in a release state of jam detection, the motor 4 is forwardly rotated, and the loading bed 7 is lifted and returned to a feed position. In this way, the loading bed is not reset unless completion of the jam processing is confirmed, and uselsss work of repetition can be prevented. |
