In a method of micro-encapsulation involving a boundary surface polymerization reaction between a compound containing amine groups and a polybasic acid chloride or anhydride, in which the polymerization is performed in an emulsion of an aqueous solution in a hydrophobic organic liquid, the reaction is terminated by introducing water into the hydrophobic phase of the emulsion, where it reacts with and destroys residual acid chloride or anhydride. |
