PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of jolting vibration in case of driving in a lock-up region by releasing the lock-up of a torque converter only for a fixed time when an accelerator pedal is released during travelling in the lock-up region. CONSTITUTION:During travelling in the lock-up region, each AND gate 10-12 of a lock-up decision circuit 9 to which the output signals of a gear position discrimination circuit 5, a speed-change detecting circuit 6 and a car-speed comparison circuit 8 are inputted outputs H level signals, and an AND gate 14 outputs a lock-up signal SL/U to energize a lock-up solenoid 16. When a driver releases the accelerator pedal when driving and the release is continued for a fixed time, the AND gate 14 brings the signal SL/U to a level L because an idle detecting circuit 19 applies a L level signal to the AND gate 14. Accordingly, a transistor 15 is at OFF, the solenoid 16 is deenergized, and the torque converter is brought to the state of the converter. |
