The generator has a high press.(10) & a low press. stage (12) with a reheater(24) between them. Both stages drive a single electrical generator(16) which has a circuit breaker(30) on its output. A signal from a speed indicator & a signal from the cct. breaker are fed to a control cct. The output of this is amplified & supplied to two hydraulic servo systems(40,41). These close the steam stop valves(26) when load is shed & the speed increases. Ralays provide an additional signal when the valves are closed and this enables the low press. regulating valves to be opened. This turbine thus restarts with steam stored in the reheater.
