<p>Thermoplastic sliding clasp fastener tracks are made by(a) injecting thermoplastic resin into a continuous series of cavities around the rim of a rotary mould to produce a series of transverse mouldings, linked by circumferential bridges on alternate sides of the mould rim, (b) stripping the linked mouldings from the mould wheel, (c) continuously folding the warm strip of mouldings to obtain a U profile, and (d) annealing the reformed profile as it leaves the machine. Method utilises residual melt heat form the reshaping and, in part, for the annealing stages, to save time and energy.</p> |
