PURPOSE:To facilitate the confirmation for the change and the relationship between the input and output data, by reading plural bits and byte addresses from the monitor data and displaying the logical state of each input/output data to plural display elements approximate to each other. CONSTITUTION:A CPU1 reads a sequence control program out of a user program memory 4 and performs an operation of the bits and byte data between the input and output data of the designated input and output addresses which are applied from an input/output memory 6 and on the basis of an instruction of the sequence control program. Based on the results of these operations, the output data of the designated bit and byte are replaced and delivered through an input/outpt device 5. The input and output addresses of optional bit and byte are designated as the addresses of the monitor subject through a keyboard 7A of a program console 7. Then the input/output data of the set addresses are read with each executing cycle of the user program, and the logical states of the read data are displayed to display elements 7C which are arrayed approximately to each other on the basis of the monitor control data set in a working memory 3.
