PURPOSE:To increase the total internal volume of a container while making the full length of the container longer by providing in the front wall of the container a hollow space for accommodating a part of a cargo handling device, and permitting said part of the cargo handling device to engage with an engaging pin provided in said hollow space. CONSTITUTION:A cargo handling device 4 for loading a container 2 on a car body 3 is provided on the car body 3, and said device 4 comprises an L shaped arm 5 and a hydraulic cylinder 6 for turning said arm 5. The one end of the L shaped arm 5 is rotatably supported longitdinally on the center of the car body 3 side, and the other end thereof is provided with a hook 7. On the other hand, on the front wall 11 of the container 2 a hollow space 15 is formed by stepwise folding a single plate to the inside and vertically extending with the same width as the interval of a pair of main beams 9 on the center of the single plate. On the upper part of this hollow space 15 a pair of mounting members 17 having the L shaped cross section is provided, and between these mounting members 17 an engaging pin 18 with which a hook 7 engages is provided. When loading the container 2, the part of the L shaped arm 5 is accomodated into the hollow space 5. |
