PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of containers loaded, by extending crane rails toward both sides a namely to a residence section on the bow side and a bridge and forming the whole crane into ?-shape in a side view, thus permitting containers to be loaded over a sill beam. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 28 are extended between the stern and a residence section 22, on the both sides of a ship 21, and a hollow spaces 29 are formed on the both sides of the residence section 22. The grooves 28 are extended into the space described the above, and crane rails 30 are laid over the whole length in the groove 28. A gantry crane 31 is formed into ?-shape in a side view, and a sill beam 32 on the base part of the gantry crane has a nearly equal length to a 40-feet container 25 and is formed into an inverted U-shape in the cross section, and wheels 33 which roll on the crane rails 30 are arranged at the front and rear edges. With such a constitution, containers can be loaded over the sill beam 32, and the number of containers loaded can be increased. |
