PURPOSE:To obtain a stable output signal having large S/N by forming the side wall of a notched groove formed to contain a position detector on the inner peripheral surface of a toothed core in a curved surface state. CONSTITUTION:The side wall 4c of a notched groove 4 is formed in a curved surface state to draw a circular arc at the point beta as a center on the outer peripheral surface of a rotor 3 which is opposed to the corner of the part 5a of a Hall element 5 to be sensed, and the deep wall 4a of the groove 4 is flatly formed. Since the magnetic flux phi of the points beta, beta on the outer peripheral surface of the rotor 3 which is opposed to the part 5a of the element 5 to be sensed can be readily passed to the side of the wall 4a from the side wall 4c of the groove 4 according to this structure, the quantity of the magnetic flux which passes through the part 5a of the element 5 to be sensed increases, with the result that a stable output signal having large S/N can be produced. |
