A device for preventing the removal of a so-called manhole primarily at the door of a vault for storing valuables, such as a bank vault. The door consists of a door leaf (1) on the inside of which a locking mechanism with a lock, lock cylinders (15) and mechanisms for controlled displacement of the aforementioned lock cylinders between a locked and unlocked position of the door from the outside (4) of the door. At this, the inside edge sections of the door leaf display a raised section forming a flange or similar making up a distance device for a lid covering the locking mechanism or equivalent, where the aforementioned lock cylinders are arranged along a vertical side of the door.The device is particularly characterised by the fact that the aforementioned flange makes up a edge beam (7) consisting of a plate-clad core of reinforced concrete with a height, thickness at right angles to the plane of the door leaf equal to a significant section of the thickness of the door leaf and, to a great extent, width in the direction of the aforementioned inside's (5) central sections from the edge. Here, the width of the edge beam (7) is significantly larger at the side opposite to where the lock cylinders (15) are located than at the side where the lock cylinders (15) are located.<IMAGE> |
