<p>PURPOSE:To detect a tape end securely regardless of whether a tape run forward or backward, by providing a driving body which drives both reel turntables according to the tape running direction with a friction member which controls a detecting member for tape end detection. CONSTITUTION:In a forward reproduction state, a take-up gear 18 is driven through the rotation of a motor 16 to rotate clockwise in a figure. Then, the take-up gear 18 is rotated counterclockwise in the figure on a rotating shaft 16 to engage with the gear 15 of a right reel turntable 13. For example, a tape end comes and the right reel turntables 13 stops. In this case, the take-up gear 18 engaging with the right reel turntable 13 is also stopped and the detecting member 20 does not receive any pressure by the friction plate 19, so that a trace pin 201 is moved to the outside of a cam groove through the rotation of said cam wheel 34. The trace pin 20 is therefore locked by an outside lock part 351 through the successive rotation of the cam wheel 34 to detect the tape end.</p> |
