PURPOSE:To prepare a measuring line for the surface roughness area described below, by transducing the surface roughness of a single plate to brightness, forming an image from said brightness, performing quantizing analysis of said image, thereby obtaining the areas of the bright part and the dark part. CONSTITUTION:A pressure sensitive sheet 1 is used as a means for transducing the surface roughness into the brightness. The pressure sensitive sheet 1 is layered on the surface of the simple plate 3 of a sample to be measured. Said material is compressed by an appropriate pressure between a pair of molds 4. When the pressure is removed, the part of the pressure sensitive sheet 1 corresponding to the concave part of the surface of the single plate 3 becomes white and the part corresponding to the convex part becomes red. Thus a pattern is formed on the sheet. Then the image of the pressure sheet 1 is obtained by a video camera 5 and quantized by an A-D converter 6. The result is analyzed by an analysis operating circuit 7 such as a microcomputer and the area of the white part is obtained. Then the measuring line for the area of the white part and the surface roughness are prepared. |
