PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch connector capable of reliably holding a cable in a split housing on the side not having a relay contact, in a state before closing a pair of split housings connected by a connection.SOLUTION: A branch connector includes a pair of openable split housings connected by a connection, and a relay contact having a pressure contact groove, supported by any one of the pair of split housings. When the pair of split housings are fitted, a cable where the outer periphery of a conductive core wire is covered with an insulating coating is inserted into the pressure contact groove of the relay contact, and the insulating coating is cut thus conducting the cable. A cable holding groove for holding a cable, in pressure contact with the pressure contact groove of the relay contact, at variable intervals is formed in the split housing not including the relay contact.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
