PURPOSE:To drive an ink jet recorder in such a way as to smoothen repacking of ink to an ink pathway after jetting ink and also permit the formation of high- speed particles of ink as well as high-speed printing by providing a pressure chamber by branching it from the ink pathway through a connection path. CONSTITUTION:A head body 1 is made up of a plate material 13 having ink pathways 3 and a multi-layered separation layer 13a. Each of the plate materials 13 has plural ink pathways 3 and piezo-electric elements 6 are provided to the upside and downside of the head body 1 correspondingly to each ink pathway. Pressure chambers 4 are provided right above and below the piezo-electric elements 6, and each pressure chamber 4 is connected with each corresponding ink pathway 3 through the connection paths 8. The piezo-electric element 6 is deformed toward the inside of the pressure chamber by application of an electric pulse to compress ink inside the pressure chamber 4, and the compressed ink is discharged under pressures from an orifice 2. Before the jetting of the ink, the application of electric pulse is stopped to restore the piezo-electric element 6 to its original non-operation state. |
