The flow of a gas and liquid is controlled by a pressure regulator which has a principal valve. A pilot pressure chamber acts on the principal valve to oppose its operation. The body of a principal valves(5) forms a position(9) which moves in a cylinder(3) between the input(1) and a return pressure chamber(10). A pressure regulator(24-30) preadjusts the pilot pressure for the pilot pressure chamber(22) which supplies the operating valve(39). The pilot pressure chamber pressure also acts against the body of the principal valve.
