PURPOSE:To perform a control of the temperature without the use of a resistor for detecting a current, by simulating the temperature of a glow plug by means of a CR circuit through continuous variation of a constant at a charging time of a capacitor according to a voltage applied to the plug. CONSTITUTION:In order to simulate the temperature of a glow plug by means of a CR circuit, through an equivalent non-linear resistor 5 which continuously changes into a low resistance at a high voltage and into a high resistance at a low voltage time by means of a Zener diode and a resistor, a time, for which the voltage of a capacitor 3 attains the input voltage of a comparator 4, is brought to coincidence with a time for which the glow plug is heated to about 900 deg.C. This permits a glow plug to be maintained at a steady temperature without the use of a current detecting resistor after the temperature rises rapidly. |
