PURPOSE:To enhance toner releasing performance and to prevent winding of paper, by forming the surface coat layer of a fixing roll using a mixture of a heat-resistant org. material and fluorinated graphite microparticles. CONSTITUTION:A nonadhesive material, such as fluorinated graphite, having inferior mechanical strength for itself, and unsuitable for a roll surface coating material is dispersed into a heat resisting org. material superior in mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, elasticity, workability, etc., and preferably superior in nonadhesiveness, and having 150-200 deg.C or more continuous heat resisting temp. A fixing roll surface coat layer is formed using this material. It retains mechanical strength and is greatly improved nonstickiness and mold releasing performance. As nonadhesive materials excluding fluorinated graphite, MoS2, graphite are listed up, but they are not suitable for high temp. use. As heat resisting org. materials, PTFE, PFA, or the like fluorocarbon polymers or RTV silicone rubber, HTV silicone rubber, etc. are usable. |
